Polo G was born Taurus Trimani Bartlett in Chicago, Illinois, on January 6, 1999. He was raised with his mother Stacia Mac and father Taurus Bartlett. Taurean is also an aspiring rapper and uses the stage name Trench Baby. Stacia was a property manager before becoming Polo G’s manager. Polo G had originally planned to major in broadcasting at Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. However, the day before he was due to start classes, he decided to pursue a full-time career in music.

Polo G’s first song was “ODA,” which he uploaded to YouTube. His YouTube channel now has over 4.8 million subscribers. He created a SoundCloud account in 2018 and released “Gang with Me” which quickly accumulated millions of views. On June 7, 2019, he released “Die a Legend,” his debut album. He also added “Gang with Me”, “Neva Cared”, and “Welcome back” to the SoundCloud account. The album peaked at #6 on Billboard’s 200 chart, was #1 on the Top Rap Albums charts, and #2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. Personal life
Polo G and Crystal Blease welcomed Tremani to the world on July 6, 2019. After a drug overdose during a party, the rapper was admitted to hospital in August 2019. Later, he posted photos from his hospital room on social media with the caption: “I gat too lit last night and woke up Inna Emergency Room nearly losing my Life.” Polo G stopped using Xanax after his near-death experience. He was arrested in Miami in June 2021 for allegedly attacking the officer who pulled him over in his vehicle. He was charged with battery on a police officers, making threats and criminal mischief. The three remaining charges against Polo G were dropped in November 2021. His attorney also told TMZ that Polo G will be freed from the two remaining charges after he has completed an anger management program.
